ARTIST AT RESORT
AAR is a successful residence, coaching, mentoring project for artists from the fields of dance, choreography and performance that has been taking place continuously and seasonally for many years. Twice a year, the Tanz*Hotel | Resort 1020 Studios offer residencies to three choreographers over a period of 8-12 weeks to create a new work. The selected projects and their artists (solo, duo, trio) are accompanied by the T*H & AAR artistic director choreographer Bert Gstettner and his co-mentors. Depending on the needs, the mentors support the process-oriented work and authorship of the artists as discussion partners, as reflective outside eyes or through dramaturgical-choreographic advice. The projects conclude with final public showings, which take place on three evenings, in both T*H Studios.
